Disney is always looking for new faces, and now they are searching for actors just like yourself to play the part as extras and other various roles in this new anticipated film. As of now this film is still in the works and very little information has been let out. But don’t worry! We will keep you posted the moment we hear anything!

So far there are no talent search dates or locations…but that will change at any moment! In the meantime, you can start preparing for your audition! Practice your monologues and make sure your resume and head shots are all up to date. This is going to be HUGE, we can already tell. It is best if you get ready now, that way if you score an audition you will be able to amaze the casting directors!

Oh, and make sure to watch anything related to Tinkerbell in order to get in the right mindset! We will update you as soon as more information is released!

Jennifer Stone

I chatted with Jennifer for awhile about her movie, Wizards and how she got started in acting. She also had some great advice to share for those wanting to get started in the business.

On her character Harriet: Oh, wow, she is the polar opposite from Harper. I think she’s really cool. She’s very much her own person, just like Harper is but in a very different way. She writes a lot and she doesn’t really pay attention to what she wears. She’s pretty much a jeans and t-shirt girl. The only real thought she puts into it is she likes the color red and she incorporates that a lot into her daily wardrobe, but other than that, everything else is very easy.

She’s a very focused writer and focused on work and observing other people and really just making the best piece of writing that she can. She doesn’t have time to worry about fashion or things like that.

On how she got started in acting: Well, I always joke and say it was my brother’s fault. He got into theater back in Texas, so I was always the little sister that got dragged to rehearsals, so I was always there for hours on end and I would just pretend on stage. So, of course I was the tom boy sister who wanted to be just like my brother. I got into it and over the years my brother stopped and I didn’t. I kept going. Then, somehow I got it into my head to come to California and my mom was sweet enough to listen. I went through lots of auditions and lots of no’s before I got to any yes’s. And I am definitely not done with the no’s either!

On advice for anyone wanting to start an acting career: As I look back, I think I really cultivated my love for acting while doing theater. It’s so flexible and it’s so easy to join a theater. You can join your theater at school, your drama club, your local community theater and it’s just do much fun. If you go to a childrens’ theater, one that’s not at your highschool, you can meet a lot of new kids who have the same interests as you. You get to sing and dance and just be someone else. You don’t have to worry about all of the stuff happening in high school and it can just be a great escape from that. And you learn a lot of the essentials in theater. That’s where it all came from, it all started, so you might as well learn the basics of it.

Sterling also shared that he is doubtful that he will get a part in HSM4 and that he thinks the movie is focusing on soccer instead of basketball.

As you probably know, Jennifer Stone has landed the leading role in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars”. We just received the official press release from Disney Channel and the movie does premiere on Friday, March 26th. The movie is based on the popular books by Louise Fitzhugh and is a contemporary twist on the iconic character, as Harriet “The Spy” Welsch vies to become the official blogger of her high school class.

Willing to do whatever it takes to earn the coveted position, Harriet competes against her arch nemesis, popular student Marion Hawthorne, in a month-long blog war to win her classmates support.? When Harriet’s father, movie producer Roger Welsch, signs on to produce the sequel to the hottest teen-musical, “Spy High,” she knows her inside scoop will be a perfect opportunity to win over her classmates.

Despite Harriet’s disdain for the movie and its star popular teen heartthrob, Skander Hill, she embarks on a mission to spy on him and expose his true colors. Harriet, with the help of best friends Sport and Janie, manages to turn Skander’s every misstep into fodder for her postings. But when her blog entries begin to take on a life of their own, it’s up to Harriet to set the record straight before she unwittingly brings down her father’s film and Skander’s career.

According to Variety, Disney has another High School related movie in the plans called “Prom”. They haven’t given the movie the green light just quite yet.

Early plans had “Prom” being produced for around $5 to $10 million and featuring fresh faces. The studio had been encouraged by “HSM’s” ability to launch new stars like Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu, virtual unknowns at the time. The third installment earned $163 million at the worldwide box office in 2008, and was made for around $15 million. But Disney is keeping its budget and casting options for the nine lead roles open until it reads Wech’s script.

And for those of you wondering, they are reportedly still developing High School Musical 4:East Meets West. Disney has two high school related movies  in the mix…what do you think about that?

In an interview with 2dayfm, when asked about HSM4 he said, “I don’t know what else we could do, we graduated High School. It might be a bit redundant, we’re a bit too old and pretty soon what’s to stop us from doing Retirement Home Musical.”

What about the Spider-Man 4 rumors? He would still love to do it, even though rumors that the role has been filled are circulating.

He shared, “To be honest that would be a dream come true. I haven’t heard anything but of course any young actor would love to fill those shoes and they are big shoes to fill.”

Here’s a little bit about the movie from Wikipedia:

Elaine “Ellie” Harrison has just moved from Minnesota to Annapolis, Maryland while her parents take a year long sabbatical to continue their medieval studies in nearby DC. Her new high school, Avalon High, seems like a typical high school with the stereotypical students: Lance the jock, Jennifer the cheerleader, Marco, the bad boy/desperado, and Will, the senior class president, quarterback, the man every girls wants and all around good guy. But not everyone at Avalon High is who they appear to be, not even Ellie herself.

And here are the possible character roles that will need to be cast:

Ellie Harrison: the new student at Avalon High–she moved to Annapolis, Maryland from Minnesota due to her parent’s sabbatical. She was the fastest runner on the track team at her old school. She is named for the Lady of Shalott in the Arthurian legend who falls in love with Lancelot yet commits suicide in the end because Lancelot leaves her for Guinevere. Marco makes several references to her name throughout the book, mainly because of what Mr. Morton told him about the legend, calling her “lily maid” and making references to the love of floating that is apparently the only trait that she shares with her namesake.

However, despite her namesake, she is really the Lady of the Lake, who presents Arthur with the famed sword, Excalibur. At Annapolis, she feels an attraction to Will Wagner, despite knowing him for a relatively short time. Through her parents’ scholar backgrounds, she has a deep understanding of the Medieval Ages and the Arthurian legend, which, as she points out, can cause some problems for her socially. In her World Literature class, she feels slightly embarrassed at times due to her already having read most of the books. After a while, she begins to notice the strange coincidences between the legend and Avalon High.

Arthur William Wagner:He corresponds to the King Arthur in the legend and has a slightly disruptive family relationship at home. Will (as most characters call him) has a Border Collie named Cavalier, who corresponds to King Arthur’s dog Cavall. His sailboat, the Pride Winn, corresponds to Arthur’s Prydwyn.

Jennifer Gold: A typical blonde cheerleader who corresponds to Queen Guinevere in the legend. She was originally dating Will (Arthur William Wagner) while cheating on him with Lance, but they broke up when Marco accidentally-on-purpose revealed their secret while Will, Ellie, Marco, Jennifer, and Lance were out sailing. Jennifer is described as one of those “perky little blondes who seem to know instinctively what colour eyeshadow looks best on them.” Although she is a bit of the stereotypical cheerleader, she is also a very nice person, and is very difficult not to like.

Lance Reynolds: the “jock” who is Will’s best friend. He goes behind Will’s back to cheat with Jennifer. He seems to have no real intention to hurt Will, like Jennifer, however, he can’t seem to deny his attraction to Jennifer. Like Lancelot in the Arthurian legend, Lance is Will’s right hand man who betrays Arthur to stay with Guinevere.

Marco Campbell: Will’s delinquent stepbrother who happens to be his halfbrother. He has been kicked out of school and eventually, it is revealed that he and Will share the same mother. Marco is very jealous of Will, and this brings him to eventually hate him with a passion. He corresponds to Mordred in the Arthurian legend and he seeks to bring Will down through revealing Jen’s and Lance’s betrayal and eventually, attempted murder.

Mr. Morton: He is a member of the “Order of the Bear”, who believes that the Arthurian legend repeats every generation. He goes undercover as a teacher in Avalon High to guide Will to success, but when he made the near-fatal mistake of telling Marco about the legend, Marco tried to kill him. He corresponds to Merlin in the legend.

Admiral Wagner: He is Will’s father and he corresponds to Uther Pendragon in the legend. He seemingly murders his best friend (by sending him into combat where he was killed) and then marries his best friend’s wife.

Jean Wagner: Jean is Admiral Wagner’s wife, who married him 6 months after her husband died in combat. Although originally it was believed that she was merely Will’s stepmother, it was later revealed (by Mr. Morton) that she was in actuality Will’s birth mother.

Ellie’s Parents: Ellie’s parents are professors on sabbatical. Her mother is writing a book on Elaine, the so-called “lily maid” of Astolat, and her father is writing his on the sword that Ellie takes to the park and hands to Will during his face-off with Marco, thus revealing herself as the Lady of the Lake. Ellie’s parents care about her despite being an embarrassment to her at times.

Disney Channel’s 78th original movie, Disney’s “StarStruck,” starring Sterling Knight, Brandon Smith (both of “Sonny With A Chance”), Chelsea Staub (“JONAS”) and newcomer Danielle Campbell, the first to debut on a Sunday night, sparkled in its debut, becoming the net’s most-watched February original movie premiere in Total Viewers, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.

* The dominant No. 1 TV program in its time period in key kids, “StarStruck” doubled NBC’s Olympic coverage in Kids 6-11 (2.4 million vs. 1.2 million) and almost doubled in Tweens 9-14 (2.3 million vs. 1.2 million).
