Dominos has a new promotional campaign to the next level and they took it to the next level. This is definitely their “hottest” campaign yet!
Domino’s rented a helicopter and flew over 1,000 of their new Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes to Mount St. Helens for tourists to enjoy as they took in the views of America’s favorite volcano.
Unfortunately, there are no Dominos in the area, so they went extreme and hired a local helicopter. The tourists had the chance to enjoy the Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes while they took in some of the best views in the world from Mount St. Helens.
To celebrate this occasion, Dominos is also offering a deal for the launch of the cake, offering a free Chocolate Lava Crunch Cake with every order of their new Pasta Bread Bowls. Not only do I want to try the cake, but I have been wanting to try their new Pasta Bowls, so this is perfect!
Check out this video clip of the Domino’s team packing up the cakes and taking them over to Mount St. Helens.

Okay, the association between the Dominos chocolate LAVA crunch cakes and Mount St. Helens is straightforward; however, if you give out desserts to tourists in an area where THERE ARE NO Dominos, what have you really achieved – a gimmick for the name of the dessert? Don’t misunderstand what I’m trying to say… I really enjoy Dominos, it’s just that certain ad campaigns are nothing more than smoke signals!
I think the campaign is great and the new menu items are even better! That Lava cake looks scrumptious!

I have been wanting to try the Domino’s pasta bowls ever since they came back, but I am even more likely to try them now that this comes with it for free. Great campaign, I just doubt that the lava cake will be as lava-like as the pictures.
