“High School Musical 4″ Auditions and Casting Calls

Disney announced earlier this month that “High School Musical 4″ is a go! Are you excited?! There are definitely some mixed emotions about this because the original cast, which includes Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu, will not be apart of HSM4. Some say they won’t even watch. Will you?
“High School Musical 4″ will be a Disney Channel Original Movie and will premiere sometime in 2010. Here’s a little something from Disney about this upcoming movie:
East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights in the upcoming High School Musical 4, the fourth story in the celebrated franchise that became a cultural sensation, fueled unprecedented digital music downloads..
..and underscored the strength of Disney Channel and Radio Disney’s connection to kids, tweens and families. High School Musical 4 brings the franchise back to television in a music and dance-filled Disney Channel Original Movie that will introduce a new cast of characters.
It is scheduled to begin production later this year for premiere on Disney Channel in 2010. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.
Before we get to the audition information, do you remember the stars that Disney brought in for “High School Musical 3” to supposedly carry on the franchise? Well, according to Matt Prokop, he will not be in HSM4. Here’s what he had to say on his MySpace:
“Not only will HSM4 not feature your loved wildcats: Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and Taylor, but I will also not be apart of it. Disney decided to go with a completely different story line. I’m so thankful to be apart of HSM3 before they decided to change everything. Enjoy the new characters……. whoever they will be. Matt.”
Interesting isn’t it? No details have been released yet about who will actually be in this next made-for-tv-movie. We will keep you updated as we find out!
Now, about the High School Musical 4 auditions…(this will be updated as we receive more information.)
“High School Musical 4″ is considered in the pre-production stages. What does this mean? It means that they are still writing the script and getting the movie ready for casting. Here is the information:

The film will be shot at the same location as the other three films- East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Another interesting tidbit about this film is that Kenny Ortega (who directed HSM1, 2 and 3) will be shooting “Footloose” with Zac Efron, so he will not be avaialble for HSM4.

High School musical 1 is much better than High School musical 2 but both of them are good. Vanessa Hudgens is so pretty and cute wayback then.
all my kids love high school musical. High School Musical 1 has the best story and is my favorite.

I agreee with Shelley, i liked the first second alright and three was byfar the worst! but just think about it new people who have been trying to make it for so long and this is their chance! I’m happy Vanessa is not in this one! I hate her! But hopefully this one is good, good luck to all who audition and i’m gonna audition!

there is nothing that could beat High School Musical 1. it is the best compared to Part 2 and Part 3

Anyways, I have wanted to become an actress for ages and I wanna be in this…Only problem is, I live in the UK….I really wanna try!! The only way I’d be able to do this (If I get to try) is if soemone magically paid for a flight to America….oh well….I really wanted to do this….

i think it’s sad that the high school musical cast members arent gonna be in high school musical 4. i loved how they all clicked together, but now it gives others a chance to keep it going. i really dislike that their going to keep the name high school musical, they should change the name cuz there arent going to be the same actors. so if you are going to continue the name at least keep the same people. i thouht that 3 was to much but 4 come on now. i just hope it wont be cheezy like the last one. i have a gut feeling it will be. that’s why i dont want to audition for this one, i dont want to be known as the actress that was in a bad movie. good luck to those who are auditioning, you are going to need it.
