Principle casting for Disneys’ “John Carter of Mars”, the first installment of a live-action trilogy based on the first book in Burroughs 11-volume “Barsoom” series.
The story is about a Civil War veteran from Virginia who is drawn to Mars and captured by the savage people of Thark. Eventually he rises to become a great warrior with a family and embarks on many adventures on the Red Planet. His struggles lead him to rediscover his humanity.
