The two girls who played sisters… they were awful actresses. The main one, Campbell, was terrible. I tried to believe it… I really did. But she was just awful. Either she needs more practice or that role was completely wrong for her.

Who knows? Maybe it was just a role that no one could have done well. I didn’t really like that character anyways.

And the one who played the sister, Castle, was just as bad. She seemed to be too old for the role and it wasn’t ever believable.

I want to give them credit and just say the script was bad… but it just didn’t come off well. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt though, because both of their characters were so poorly given off. The characters must have been bad from the beginning.

I thought Sterling did an excellent job… but I’d like to see him in a different type of role. His role was very similar to what it is in Sonny With a Chance… and that gets old after a while.

Chelsea Staub was barely in the movie and her role could have been given to just about anyone. She really did not ’star’ in the movie. She was more like an extra… a very minor character. A very key character, but a very minor character.

Overall… I’d say Sterling did the best… but the movie was one of Disney’s poorer movies. I’m beginning to believe that it was the script and not the actors’ abilities.

    starstruck is a good movie

  3. I personally thought that Sterling was perfect for the role and had more experience being the star since he plays someone quite like that for Sonny With A Chance. Danielle Campbell was okay though. But you can’t really blame her since it’s her first major role. Brandon was funny and it was pretty weird to see him play best buds with Sterling because we only ever saw them as hating each other on Sonny. Maggie was good at playing the scary stalker girl but I don’t think she was the right person to play the role since she looked older than the character should’ve been. Chelsea was good but considering she was hardly in the movie we didn’t really get to see too much of her acting. Over all I thought the movie was very funny and you got to see more of what Sterling can do. Sure the movie’s plot has been overdone but it was very sweet and as Sterling said, it will appeal to a lot of people than people would initially think.

I thought the movie was really good. There was a moral to it, about honesty and not being judgemental of those you haven’t gotten to know. Danielle Campbell played her role very well and believable in my opinion, she seemed genuine and she was easy to feel a bond with through the movie. The relationship between her and her sister however was rather unbelievable, as they had no real relationship, and I was left wondering how her sister never played a bigger role, considering I expected her to have a bigger part. Chelsea Straub’s character seemed to have no character development at all, and she was forgettable. in her role.

I agree. Danielle campbell was an awful actress in this movie. Her voice got really high when she s
was mad and I almost couldn’t bear to watch her. I kept thinking too that she was going to end up like Demi lovato or some of the other newcomers that got huge after a Disney role. But honestly I do not think she deserves it. She is not a very good actress and does not need to be one of disneys next big stars like Miley, Demi, Selena, or all of the others. Cute movie, but sterling was BY FAR the best of them all.

Look, I thought danielle cambelle was great! All she did was say her lines, the movie was suppost to go that way. Even though many parts were cheesy i enjoyed the movie. Danielle was by far my favorite. The role of the character was suppost to act that way. Danielle is actually a very kind and well not the same person as in the movie. I think she is and will be a great addition to disney channel! Great job danielle!!!!!! :)

  7. Jessica Valenti says:

the movie was awesome , i actually loved it it was the best i felt so bad for danielle i wanted to poke sterling in the eyeball but at the end i was touuched.. i LOVED THE MOVIEEEE p.s. stubby was awesome!!

  8. Evelina says:

This movie was definatly one of the BEST movies ever! All the characters were so believable like this was real life, not just a movie. Sterling and the other cast members were just perfect for the roles they got. On a scale 1 to 10 to rate this movie, 10 being the highest, I would give it a 5,000,000. That is a big number to give this perfect movie! The cast, the movie, everything was just wonderful and perfect! I turly LOVE this EXCELLENT movie and cast!!!!!!!!!

  9. Rachel says:

    Stephanie- i completely agree

i thought danielle was adorable but really was a weak choice for this film- she does however fit the “selena/demi” sort of look and profile which is probably why she was chosen

the older sister was also awful and way too old

sterling did so a fantastic job- he’s a great actor

  10. Hannah says:

The only thing that made Star Struck good was Sterling Knight. He sang good songs!

  11. Samantha says:

I thought that Starstruck was the Best movie ever on Disney!!!! My favorite actor/actress is Sterling Knight (Christopher Wilde) because he’s an amazing singer, awsome at the guitar, and very, very talented! Danielle Campbell (Jessica Olsen) was my second favorite because I feel like she kind of helped Christopher Wilde evolve into a more better celebrity rather than the sophisticated celebrity that he used to be. As she had to spend more time with Christopher Wilde, she got to see more in him and he felt that they had something particular. My third favorite is Brandon Mychal Smith (Stubby) because he is just sooo energetic. He is a ball of energy with all of his jumping around rap when it’s his turn to sing in Christopher Wilde’s songs. My fourth favorite is Maggie Castle (plays Jessica’s older sister) because she thinks that she is deffinently going to meet Christopher Wilde while her sister still has her doubts about that. She also ends up in his car and believes that she might be punked !!! Haha!!!! And my fifth favortie is Chelsea Staub (Alexis) because she likes her self a lot and I wish that she had been in more of the movie! Anyway, overall the movie was spectacular!!!! I absolutely LOVED it soooooo much, that I can watch it a million times and never get sick of it!!!!!!!!! Thank You!!! :D

  12. EmmaRose says:

Danielle and Maggie were the most horrible actresses I have seen in a while. They couldn’t act at all. I know how sisters are and they couldn’t even get that right. Please do not use them again until they take acting lessons or have some life lessons.

The only reason why I would watch this movie again would be for Sterling, Brandon and Chelsea. They were troopers. And the music was amazing!

  13. veronica says:

I love starstruck it was such a good movie. Ever since i have seen the movie i have been watching disney channel more often. I hope that sterling knight is in more movies. I also love the songs that he sings and the shows that he’s on. The favorite part that i like in the movie is the part when christopher wilde gives up the concert and trip just to go get his girl back. i thought that part was cute and when he sang a song to jessica at the end.
