Get to Know Jason Dolley of ‘Good Luck Charlie’

Good Luck Charlie 01Jason Dolley stars as PJ Duncan, the easygoing older brother who spends most of his time preoccupied with girls, in the new Disney Channel Original Series “Good Luck Charlie.”

A familiar face to Disney Channel viewers, Dolley starred in three Disney Channel Original Movies, “Hatching Pete,” “Minutemen” and “Read It and Weep,” and in the Disney Channel comedy series “Cory in the House.”

He started acting professionally at age 11. His film debut was the lead role in the award-winning short film “Chasing Daylight,” directed by Jeff Stephenson. However his big break came in 2004, when he landed a series regular role in Mel Gibson’s ABC comedy series, “Complete Savages,” as T.J. Savage, the youngest of the five brothers.

During the 2006-07 pilot season, Dolley was cast in the ABC drama pilot “Enemies,” during which he worked with famed director F. Gary Gray (“Be Cool,” “The Italian Job”). In 2007 he had a supporting role in the crime-drama feature film, “The Air I Breathe,” starring Andy Garcia, Kevin Bacon, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Forest Whitaker, Brendan Fraser and Emile Hirsch. In 2006 he also starred in the lead role of Marty Preston in the Warner Bros. feature “Saving Shiloh.”

Born in Southern California, Dolley is the youngest of four boys. An excellent student, he maintained a consistent 4.0 grade point average throughout high school. Now a college student, he enjoys playing his guitar and piano, video games and spending time with his friends.

Dolley resides in Los Angeles with his family.
