How Debby Ryan Got Started in Acting

Debby Ryan is spending some of her down time over the holidays answering fan mail. Debby loves her fans and is so good to them. One of the questions she probably gets a lot is how she got her big break.

She answered the question on her official website, http://www.debbyryan.com/. She said: “My mom submitted my headshot and resume’ to some reputable agencies. After months of waiting, hoping and praying, the Ivett Stone Agency wanted to rep me! My first audition was for a small teenage spot on a Barney film and I booked it! I felt that I was on my way, then things sort of slowed down. I continued to work for free doing local theater and small local video shorts just so I could act. I realized that unless acting played a significant role in my life, I wasn’t happy.”
