Miranda Cosgrove will be hosting a live chat on Friday, March 12 at 7pm EST/4pm PST, where she will premier her new single, “Kissin U”, from her upcoming album, Sparks Fly. Fans will be able to interact, ask questions and receive the latest updates from Miranda personally by logging on to her Facebook page, www.facebook.com/mirandacosgrove, powered by Livestream. “Kissin U” was written by Dr. Luke and Miranda Cosgrove.
Miranda Cosgrove, star of the highest rated cable television show, Nickelodeon’s iCarly, debuted as a recording artist with the iCarly theme song “Leave It All to Me”. In June 2008, Columbia Records released the iCarly soundtrack, which featured four songs performed by Cosgrove (“Leave It All to Me”, “Stay My Baby”, “About You Now”, and “Headphones On”).
Following all the success of the iCarly soundtrack, Cosgrove became one of MTV’s ‘Female Pop Rookies of 2009′. On February 3, 2009, Cosgrove released her first solo recording, the extended play About You Now, exclusively on the iTunes Store To promote the 2009 animated film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Columbia Records released a single entitled “Raining Sunshine” with an accompanying music video in August 2009.
