In an interview with 2dayfm, when asked about HSM4 he said, “I don’t know what else we could do, we graduated High School. It might be a bit redundant, we’re a bit too old and pretty soon what’s to stop us from doing Retirement Home Musical.”

What about the Spider-Man 4 rumors? He would still love to do it, even though rumors that the role has been filled are circulating.

He shared, “To be honest that would be a dream come true. I haven’t heard anything but of course any young actor would love to fill those shoes and they are big shoes to fill.”

“High School Musical 4″ will be a Disney Channel Original Movie and will premiere sometime in 2010. Here’s a little something from Disney about this upcoming movie:

..and underscored the strength of Disney Channel and Radio Disney’s connection to kids, tweens and families. High School Musical 4 brings the franchise back to television in a music and dance-filled Disney Channel Original Movie that will introduce a new cast of characters.

It is scheduled to begin production later this year for premiere on Disney Channel in 2010. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide.

Before we get to the audition information, do you remember the stars that Disney brought in for “High School Musical 3” to supposedly carry on the franchise? Well, according to Matt Prokop, he will not be in HSM4. Here’s what he had to say on his MySpace:

“Not only will HSM4 not feature your loved wildcats: Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and Taylor, but I will also not be apart of it. Disney decided to go with a completely different story line. I’m so thankful to be apart of HSM3 before they decided to change everything. Enjoy the new characters……. whoever they will be. Matt.”

Interesting isn’t it? No details have been released yet about who will actually be in this next made-for-tv-movie. We will keep you updated as we find out!

Now, about the High School Musical 4 auditions…(this will be updated as we receive more information.)

“High School Musical 4″ is considered in the pre-production stages. What does this mean? It means that they are still writing the script and getting the movie ready for casting. Here is the information:

The film will be shot at the same location as the other three films- East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Another interesting tidbit about this film is that Kenny Ortega (who directed HSM1, 2 and 3) will be shooting “Footloose” with Zac Efron, so he will not be avaialble for HSM4.
