Top 5 Tips to Become A
Disney Channel Actress – Part 2
I hope you enjoyed the first three tips on how to become a Disney Channel actress, and now here is the conclusion to our article: Tips 4 and 5. Pay attention and you will come away with some very valuable information.
4) Don’t pay anyone any money until you make some
Regardless of where you are in preparing for your acting career or going after auditions for Disney Channel productions, you should never pay anyone any money up front to represent you as an agent in the industry. Without a doubt, the only reputable agents in the industry are those who will work to get you the jobs first, and then take a percentage of your salary from that work as their reward.
If an agent sees the talent and potential in you, then they should be confident in representing you and believing they will be greatly rewarded in the end when others begin to see that same potential and you become a Disney Channel actress. Don’t let yourself get sucked into a talent agency asking you for hundreds or thousands of dollars just because they tell you that you have “real potential”. Make them prove it to you by giving you a real shot.
Now, be aware that you should expect some expenses up front as you get started with your career and pursue auditions for Disney Channel shows (head shots, resume services, etc.), but those expenses should not be fees paid to an agency.
5) Work hard, make sure it is your passion, and never give up!
If this is the life that you are going to choose for yourself, you need to know that it is not easy. You truly have to want to become a Disney Channel actress with everything in you. You will have to go through some rejection and some difficult times, but if acting is your passion and you can’t imagine doing anything else with your life, then you have to stay focused and work very hard to get your shot.
You must have a deep belief that this is what you are supposed to do with your life, or you will quickly become frustrated and dissatisfied and give up. Don’t start down that road unless you are sure of your passion. But once you have decided, then you should never give up until you get the auditions for Disney Channel shows that will take you where you want to go.
So to wrap it all up, you should first focus on all of the local opportunities, people and coaches that are in front of you right now that can get you ready to become a Disney Channel actress. Then, when you have some real experience under your belt, you should be looking for a reputable agent who truly has your best interests at heart. And finally, you have to set your mind to it, work your tail off and don’t take “no” for an answer.
